I am the Invisible Patient.

The Invisible Patient

You are the invisible patient, maybe or maybe not disabled, but in a cluster of medical issues. There doesn’t appear to be anyone out there who cares for what you need. And there isn’t one size fits all because we are all individuals.

But do you know the invisible patient? The one tucked up inside of you? That tries to heal all the hurt? Finding and creating room for him/her to talk to you isn’t easy. Expressing what is believed can sometimes be scary and difficult.

That voice of reason can be easily squashed if you find medical people difficult to either understand or communicate with. So this is an expression of the (I am going to use something here) whole person. Medical people don’t seem to recognise it though. You can’t treat one thing without treating another because we are ONE body.

Trust your heart and look within and see what you push aside, or should I say allow to be pushed aside? Medical people don’t often look at everything and The Invisible Patient allows the discoveries of what is left behind and gives you a different (hopefully) perspective and advocate for yourselves.
